The |alveolar process| is the lower part of the |maxilla| wherein the |teeth| are mounted. At each tooth site on the |alveolar process| is a rounded bump, showing where the roots of the |teeth|, their ~nerves~, and the ~blood~ vessels which nourish them lie beneath.
